Complete Patch Notes

Core Server Design

Classic 2.7-inspired progression powered by selected future systems and quality improvements.

  • AionAbyss uses the 4.6 client, but newer classes are blocked.
  • Bard, Gunner and Aethertech are disabled.
  • Some 3.0+ systems and mechanics were preserved, including Housing, Remove Shock behavior and 4.6 skill effects.
  • Energy of Repose has been removed.
  • Magic Boost cap is preserved at 2900 points.
  • NPC item sell value has been reduced to 20%.
  • AP gain from relics has been removed.
  • PvE AP reduction now starts from Rank 2 instead of Rank 1.
  • Transformations were reduced: only Governor and Commanders can use XForm.

New Player Support

Starter systems created to help new players join the server.

  • Temporary 15-day titles added to Agovard and Brontes NPCs.
  • New Player Buff created for beginners.
  • The buff lasts up to 15 days and helps new players catch up even when geared players already exist.
  • Shadesoaked Mithril Coin sets changed from Level 51 requirement to Level 1.

Custom Quests

Daily quests, Silentera tasks and world boss objectives.

  • Daily quest created to kill players in Silentera, Gelkmaros or Inggison for Kinah.
  • Daily quest created to kill 40 monsters in Silentera for Kinah.
  • World Boss quest created for the Tiamaranta Eye boss.
  • Gold and Silver Medals added to Gelkmaros and Inggison fortress daily quests.

Farm & Drop Zones

Custom farming zones with Kinah, manastones, recipes and crafting materials.

  • Custom farm zones created with Kinah, Manastones, Recipes and crafting materials.
  • Kinah automatic farm added inside selected dungeons.
  • Haramel, Nochsana Training Camp and Fire Temple grant 1,000 Kinah per monster.
  • Alquimia Research Center, Aetherogenetics Lab, Draupnir Cave and Beshmundir Temple grant 2,000 Kinah per monster.
  • Drop of Crucible Insignias, Enchants and Abyss Essence added inside Beshmundir Temple, Lower Udas, Udas and Dark Poeta.
  • Gathering points for Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Burning Aether and Magical Aether moved to Balaurea and Reshanta.
  • Slightly increased chance to gather better materials such as Big Ruby and Big Sapphire.

Custom Buff Systems

New buffs created for progression, balance and group activity.

  • New Player Buff created for beginners.
  • Legion Buff created to increase Drop, AP and XP for Legion members.
  • Anti-Snowball Buff created to help balance Battleground matches.
  • Siege Buff created to help racial balance during Sieges.

Equipment Changes

Trade rules, PvP condition requirements and guaranteed manastone slots.

  • Condition requirement added to activate PvP stats on Level 50 and 55 Eternal/Fabled Abyss Point weapons and armors.
  • Trade restrictions removed from Beshmundir Temple, Lower Udas and Udas Temple equipment and accessories.
  • Stormwing, Flarestorm, Beshmundir, Vorpal, Malika, Jotun and Debilkarim items are now tradeable.
  • Beshmundir, Vorpal, Stormwing and Flarestorm items now always come with 6 manastone slots.
  • Debilkarim, Jotun and Malika items now always come with 5 manastone slots.
  • Advanced Stigma slots unlock after normal Stigma slots are unlocked and the player reaches Level 55.

Enchant System

New simplified 3-tier enchant system with Abyss Essence.

  • New item created: Abyss Essence.
  • The old enchant system with around 180 enchant types was replaced by only 3 enchant types.
  • New enchant types: Enchant T1, Enchant T2 and Enchant T3.
  • NPC created to exchange Enchant T1 into T2 and T2 into T3.
  • Abyss Essence is used in the custom enchant progression.

Crafting Changes

New recipes and gathering adjustments.

  • Recipe created to craft Lannok Extendable Greatsword.
  • Recipe created to craft Trioran Extendable Greatsword.
  • Recipe created to craft Commander Bakarma Spear.
  • Some morph recipes changed from 200 DP to 300 DP.
  • Gathering routes moved to Balaurea and Reshanta.

Battlegrounds

Randomized 2v2 to 12v12 PvP with custom rewards.

  • Battlegrounds created for groups from 2v2 up to 12v12.
  • Premade groups are not allowed.
  • Teams are fully randomized.
  • Rewards added to Battlegrounds.
  • Anti-Snowball Buff helps balance matches when one team falls behind.
  • VIP members receive +20% AP/Kinah in Battleground rewards, except additional Kinah gained directly from kills.

Dredgion Changes

Boss spawn, progressive Kinah farm and custom rewards.

  • Dredgion boss now spawns 5 minutes after the Dredgion starts.
  • Automatic progressive Kinah farm added inside Dredgion.
  • Rewards added to Dredgions.
  • VIP members receive +20% AP/Kinah in Dredgion rewards.

Siege Rework

Reshanta-focused Siege system with adjusted rewards and Balaur attacks.

  • Sieges are limited to Reshanta fortresses, with the Core as an exception.
  • Upper Abyss Sieges activate only 2 fortresses at a time.
  • Balaur attack fortresses in 100% of Sieges.
  • Balaur fortress attacks were nerfed.
  • Siege rewards were changed.
  • Siege Buff created to help racial balance during Sieges.

World Boss System

Tiamaranta Eye boss with quest-based rewards.

  • World Boss added to Tiamaranta Eye.
  • The boss has no direct drop.
  • The boss spawns twice per week.
  • Quest created to reward players who kill the Tiamaranta Eye boss.

Dungeon Entry Changes

Weekly entries and reset schedule adjusted.

  • Beshmundir Temple changed to 2 entries per week.
  • Lower Udas changed to 2 entries per week.
  • Udas Temple changed to 2 entries per week.
  • Dark Poeta changed to 2 entries per week.
  • Dungeon reset happens every Wednesday at 09:00.

Custom NPCs

Agovard, Brontes, custom shops and refund systems.

  • Agovard and Brontes NPCs spawned inside Silentera.
  • Custom shop added to Agovard and Brontes.
  • Shop items include Level 50 Fabled accessories, temporary titles, extend weapon recipes and basic foods.
  • NPC created to refund incorrectly purchased Abyss Point items.
  • Refund is available only within 1 hour after purchase.
  • The refund NPC returns 90% of the AP and medals spent.
  • Refund works only for armors, weapons and accessories.

Named Zones & Sentinel NPCs

Enemy detection and named monster zone adjustments.

  • Sentinel NPC created to detect enemy players in named zones.
  • Sentinels are used in Gelkmaros and Inggison named monster zones.
  • Some monsters in Gelkmaros and Inggison were changed from aggressive to neutral.

Commands & Utility

Useful commands for players and event information.

  • .dropinfo added for all players.
  • .eventinfo added to show how many players are registered in Battleground and Dredgion.
  • .bg Register to Battlegrounds.

Removed Content

Systems removed to support the intended server design.

  • Energy of Repose removed.
  • Extraction Tools removed from NPCs.
  • PvP Arena entries removed.
  • Courage Insignia PvP vendors removed.
  • AP gain from relics removed.
  • New classes are blocked.

Anti-Bot Protection

Server-side protection created to reduce automated gameplay.

  • Custom Anti-Bot system created.
  • The system was added to help reduce automated farming and unfair gameplay.
